When people age, they get what appears
to be bags under the eyes. In actuality, it's
loss of tissue. Surgery was the only option
to correct the problem, but now there's a
minimally invasive procedure that uses
Restylane injections. Restylane is a type
of hyrauluronic acid found naturally in the
human body that can be used as a filler.
Results are immediate and last up to 6
months. Dermatologist Gene Rubinstein
specializes in the procedure and will do it
live on one of his patients.

The Aluma system with FACES technology
works by creating a controlled volume of
heated tissue in the dermis (deeper skin
layers). Improving on earlier technology
such as Thermage, Aluma's technology is
truly a breakthrough approach to treatment.

Hyperhydrosis (excessive sweating) of the

Celebrity Dermatologist, Dr. Gene Rubinstein, Reveals Latest Cosmetic Options for ‘Picture Perfect’ Brides

Los Angeles, CA - Planning the perfect wedding takes months of preparation. Naturally, everything must be just right: the ceremony, the
reception, the music, the food, and even the invitations. But most importantly, the bride and the groom must look their absolute best! These
days the wedding couple has a wide array of cosmetic enhancements and treatments at their finger tips; procedures that ensure the
perfect look yet go well beyond the traditional facial.

Celebrity Dermatologist, Dr. Gene Rubinstein, offers advice on getting ready for the big day: “When cameras are flashing, it’s important to look bright, shiny and restful.
We see a lot of brides getting ready for their weddings.”

Popular procedures include PhotoFacials, Botox and fillers such as Restylane, Radiesse and Juvederm.  These help to rejuvenate the appearance, clear the skin tone
and make the bride and groom look more relaxed.  The stress of the wedding plans often brings out acne breakouts -
Acne Therapy may include PhotoDynamic therapy,
peels and anti-inflammatory injections.  To ensure that the bride's make-up goes on smoothly, Microdermabrasion and
Hyperbaric Oxygen Facials on the face and
chest are also a must before the big event.

The most requested procedures at Dr. Rubinstein’s by bachelorettes, bachelors and their wedding parties are:

EVEN OUT SKIN TONE

PhotoFacial - Dr. Rubinstein has developed "THE PhotoFacial" using a combination of several lasers and medication. IPL, V-Beam and Nd:Yag lasers are used in
combination with topical medicines to help clear the skin from brown spots, redness, flat acne scars, pigmentation and generally to even out the skin tone.

ERASE WRINKLES AND RELAX FACIAL EXPRESSIONS

Botox – Frown lines and crow’s feet are often captured on video and photographs.  Injections of Botox by a qualified specialist help smooth lines and soften facial
expressions.  Most commonly injected into the forehead, between the brows and next to each eye in order to decrease or even erase forehead "worry" lines, brow
"frown" lines and eye "crow's feet" lines. Visible results can take 2-3 days to be first noticed. Optimal results are visible two weeks after injection.

NON-SURGICAL NOSE JOB

Radiesse - Radiesse is a long lasting filler used to correct facial depressions like nasolabial folds and acne scars.  It is also the ideal
filler for facial shaping and contouring such as non-surgical nose jobs and chin and cheek remodeling.  Radiesse is made of very tiny,
smooth calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres. The microspheres (particles) form a scaffold through which your body’s own
collagen grows; this produces the desired long-term effect. Radiesse, one of the newest fillers, offers superior versatility for both cosmetic
    and reconstructive use without surgery.

FILLERS FOR FULLER LIPS, NASOLABIAL FOLDS AND UNDER-EYE BAGS

Restylane and Juvederm - Lips, nasolabial folds and under-eye-bags are quickly corrected with these hyaluronic acid fillers.  "We've been using Restylane for a long
time with excellent results, especially under the eyes and in the nasolabial folds" says Dr. Rubinstein, a Board Certified Dermatologist and Director of the Dermatology
and Laser Centre of Studio City "Now we also have Juvederm which is soft and natural in the lips."   Composed of non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid, a substance
found naturally in the human body, these fillers are fully biocompatible and have a high safety profile. Restylane and Juvederm maintain their shape using the body's
own moisture. The ability of hyaluronic acid to bind to water is what helps provide long-lasting results. Restylane results last approximately 6 months. Juvederm may
last as long as one year in some patients, less in the lips.  Dr. Rubinstein participated in the clinical trials for Juvederm and has been using Juvederm since its FDA
approval.

PIMPLE ON WEDDING NIGHT – Oh NO!!!

Acne Therapy – Clearing the skin of acne takes about three months, so starting early is a must!  PhotoDynamic Therapy (PDT) is the latest breakthrough in acne
treatment.   PDT combats acne in two ways: by killing acne causing bacteria, and reducing the size of the oil producing glands that contribute to clogged pores. It can
take 3 - 6 laser treatments for patients to achieve the desired results. "
PhotoDynamic Therapy truly works" says Dr. Rubinstein "most patients have dramatic results
after 3 treatments." Combining PDT with topical and systemic medications helps speed up the results.  Using lasers in addition to Blue Light to activate the
photosensetizing medication helps achieve even better results.  In the weeks before the Big Day, any new breakouts should be immediately addressed by a
dermatologist.  As close as three days before the event, breakouts can be minimized with non-painful injections and make them a distant memory rather that a memory
captured forever on film.

HOW TO BE A RADIANT BRIDE

Hyperbaric Oxygen Facial, Microdermabrasion and Peels – Removing dead skin cells, plumping up the skin and deeply hydrating the skin contribute to a radiant
appearance even for brides with good skin.  During an Intraceutical,
Hyperbaric O2 facial, a molecular weight hyaluronic acid that holds 1000 times of its weight in water
is infused into the skin using topical hyperbaric oxygen technology.  This process hydrates and plumps the skin surface to visibly reduce the appearance of fine lines
and wrinkles. A series of six weekly treatments is recommended, but just one 30 minute treatment will help your skin look and feel nourished and hydrated. This O2
facial is endorsed by Madonna and Justin Timberlake.
